Working for the City We Want

Policies that support racial equity and women’s equality

Since the First Nations gave us the name Toronto, this has been a city built by immigrants, refugees and their descendants. Today however, the growing racialization of poverty cannot be ignored. Nor can the continued presence of youth violence that plagues many communities.  Measures need to be taken that tackle racism and discrimination, and provide positive solutions to the root causes of youth violence.  Young people need both hope and respect. And the city should move pro-actively on key issues important to women.
